Private 1-on-1 studio · Greater Toronto Area

Silverback Fitness Personal training that rebuilds bad backs and sore knees.

We run a private training studio built around one job: getting people with lower back and knee pain strong, confident and lifting again. No crowded gym floor and no ego. Just form, technique and a plan built around your body.

  • Knee pain
  • Form & technique
  • Back to lifting

01 Back & knees

Where does it hurt?

Pick one. Here’s what people usually tell us on day one, and how we train it.

Lumbar spine · L1–L5Knee joint

Lower back pain

Sound familiar?

  • Your back tightens up after deadlifts or squats.
  • A day of sitting leaves your lower back stiff and sore.
  • You stopped lifting heavy because you’re scared of tweaking it again.
  • Bending down to pick something up makes you brace and hold your breath.

How we train it

  1. Find the movements that hurt and the ones that don’t.
  2. Build your hips, glutes and core so your back stops doing all the work.
  3. Re-teach the hinge: deadlifts, RDLs and everyday bending with clean technique.
  4. Add load back slowly until heavy feels normal again.

02 The method

The Silverback method

Four stages, one-on-one, at your pace. You move to the next one when your body says so, not the calendar.

  1. 01

    Assess

We watch how you move, where it hurts and what you want back: the deadlift, the stairs, a pain-free workday.

  2. 02

    Rebuild

Targeted strength for the muscles that should be protecting your back and knees, in ranges that don’t flare you up.

  3. 03

    Load

Weight goes back on the bar slowly, with clean technique on every rep, until heavy feels normal again.

  4. 04

    Lead

You leave knowing why each exercise matters, so you can train on your own and stay out of pain.

Why “Silverback”?

In a gorilla troop, the silverback is the one who leads, protects and keeps everyone moving. The silver on his back isn’t handed to him. It comes with years and strength. That’s the idea here: strength you earn, and a coach who’s got your back.

03 About us

Quit the day job. Opened the studio.

Silverback Fitness started with one big risk: quitting a day job at 25 to open a private training studio. We built it around the problem we saw everywhere: lifters and regular people sidelined by lower back and knee pain.

“The biggest risk that I have ever taken in my entire life was quitting my day job and opening my own business.”Founder, Silverback Fitness

We’ve been knocked down ourselves, and we talk about it openly. Our view is simple: the real test is how far you can fall and still be willing to get back up. That’s the mindset we bring to every session, along with a big focus on discipline, form and doing the boring work that actually fixes things.

Our goal“To inspire a generation of lifters.”

Is Silverback Fitness physiotherapy?

No. Silverback Fitness is private personal training focused on lower back and knee pain, not a medical clinic. If your pain is new or severe, came from a fall or accident, or comes with numbness, tingling or weakness, see a doctor first.

Who is this training for?

Adults with nagging lower back or knee pain who want to get strong instead of resting forever, lifters who keep getting hurt, and anyone who wants to learn the big lifts with proper form and technique.

Are sessions one-on-one?

Yes. Silverback Fitness is a private training studio, so it’s just you and your coach, not a crowded gym floor.
